I absolutely adore painting these majestic birds; their iridescent feathers and graceful forms are just incredible to capture on paper. I usually begin with a light sketch, then lay down the lightest blues and greens, letting them dry before adding darker details and those iconic "eye" patterns on their tail feathers.
