Eagle monument from Bronze
I had to be able to get under the wingspan of this 2,000lb sculpture to finish my patina (patination is a chemical process that speeds up oxidation and gives a sculpture a unique look). I told my boss the 2x4 wasn’t going to hold that thing because he had set the ropes at the END of the beam. I’m dumb as shit, but I told him that physics tells me the weight should be more in the middle… and he didn’t listen. He lifted it up, and the wood beam started cracking. So we grabbed 2 4x6s from the old barn and I made the boys from the metal shop come out and help.
