💡 Insider tips: Park at Safeway Parking Garage
Attending Otakon D.C. 2026 was truly an unforgettable experience packed with excitement from start to finish. One of my favorite parts was exploring the Artist Alley, where incredibly talented artists showcased unique anime-inspired artwork and merchandise. It was both inspiring and the perfect place to pick up one-of-a-kind souvenirs. The Video Game Room was a hub of energy, where fans gathered to compete and enjoy classic and new games. If you’re a fan of Pokemon, the dedicated card trading zone provided a great opportunity to meet fellow collectors and traders, which added a communal vibe to the event. Panels offered deep dives into anime culture, upcoming releases, and industry insights, making it easy to learn something new every hour. The Anime Cars were an absolute highlight, featuring wildly customized vehicles decorated with vibrant anime themes that caught everyone's eye. For those needing a break, there were plenty of comfortable spots to unwind and enjoy delicious food nearby. Insider tip: parking at the Safeway Parking Garage made coming and going much easier, avoiding common downtown traffic hassles. From maid cafes to host clubs and exclusive merch, the atmosphere felt lively and welcoming, perfect for both hardcore fans and casual visitors. This event not only celebrated anime and gaming culture but also created a warm community experience that I’m eager to revisit. If you’re in Washington and love anime conventions, Otakon 2026 should definitely be on your must-attend list!
