OOTD 🤍 | Summer Baby Shower Vibes
Baby shower OOTD 🪻🩵
I wanted something cute and put together for my bestie’s baby shower without sacrificing comfort because… mom life 😂 plus it’s been so HOT this summer.
I kept it simple with pieces I already had in my closet: distressed denim shorts + a basic white cropped tank, then added an oversized blue striped button-down to make the outfit feel a little more polished without being overdressed. Finished it off with simple sandals, hoops, and my everyday jewelry.
🤍 One of my favorite styling tricks: when an outfit feels too basic, add a lightweight oversized button-down! It gives you an extra layer, adds color/texture, and instantly makes simple basics feel more intentional while still being comfy enough to wear all day. I do this in the Fall too with thicker pieces which is even more satisfying to me lol
This outfit was:
Cute ✔️
Comfortable ✔️
Mom-approved ✔️
Also…the fact that my outfit accidentally matched the baby shower flowers?! 😭🩵🪻 It was meant to be lol.
Are you a dress up for baby shower girl or a cute casual girl?
Attending a baby shower in the summer can be a fun occasion to showcase your style while keeping comfort a priority, especially for moms juggling busy schedules. I found that mixing basics with a few thoughtful pieces not only keeps me comfortable but also makes the outfit feel put-together without trying too hard. For example, distressed denim shorts paired with a simple white cropped tank are a great base for a summer baby shower OOTD. These pieces are easy to wear and keep you cool during those hot days. Adding a lightweight, oversized button-down shirt was a game changer for me—it instantly elevated the look with minimal effort. I love choosing striped or patterned button-downs for added color and texture, giving a fresh twist to otherwise simple basics. Accessorizing with everyday jewelry like hoops and wearing simple sandals completes the look without sacrificing comfort. A little styling tip I swear by is to look for items you already own that can be layered or styled differently. It saves money and reduces decision fatigue! Sometimes, a thrifting find like an H&M top or a Walmart crop can be the perfect pieces that add uniqueness while staying budget-friendly. Interestingly, my outfit accidentally matched the baby shower flowers, which added an extra sweet touch to my look—sometimes these little coincidences make an event feel even more memorable. One thing I’ve learned is there’s no need to overdress for a baby shower; the goal is to feel cute and comfortable. What’s your go-to baby shower style? Are you more of a dress-up girl or fans of casual chic like me? No matter your personal style, remember outfits that mix comfort blends with a stylistic twist, like oversized button-downs or colorful accessories, keep you feeling confident and ready to celebrate. Plus, these looks effortlessly transition into fall by swapping lightweight fabrics for warmer layers, proving their versatility. Sharing these styles with fellow moms and friends always sparks great conversations and fashion inspiration!
