ในชีวิตจริง ผมเคยพบกับช่วงเวลาที่ยากลำบากทางการเงินมากมาย หลายครั้งที่อยากเลิกเพราะรู้สึกเหมือนไม่มีความก้าวหน้าอะไร แต่เมื่อผมได้เรียนรู้ที่จะตั้งเป้าหมายและวางแผนการเงินอย่างมีวินัย โดยเฉพาะการ "หักเก็บก่อนใช้" เช่นเดียวกับที่เล่าในบทความนี้ สิ่งที่เห็นชัดเจนที่สุดคือความเปลี่ยนแปลงที่เกิดขึ้นทีละน้อยแต่มั่นคง ผมเริ่มจากเก็บเงินเพียงเล็กน้อยทุกเดือน ถึงแม้จะลำบากและต้องปรับการใช้จ่าย แต่พอสะสมเงินก้อนแรกได้ ก็มีความมั่นใจเพิ่มขึ้น จากนั้นผมเริ่มศึกษาการลงทุนอย่างจริงจัง และเลือกลงทุนในรูปแบบที่เหมาะสมกับตัวเอง การลงทุนไม่ใช่เรื่องที่ต้องกลัว หรือหวังจะรวยเร็ว แต่เป็นเครื่องมือที่ช่วยให้เงินทำงานแทนเรา สิ่งสำคัญคือวันที่รู้สึกท้อแท้ อยากยอมแพ้ หรืออยากใช้เงินก่อนถึงเป้าหมาย ให้หันกลับมาทบทวนว่าทำไมเราถึงเริ่มต้น และเชื่อมั่นในวินัยที่เราสร้างขึ้น เพราะวันหนึ่ง "ความอดทน" และ "วินัย" นี้เองที่จะเป็นเหตุผลที่เราภูมิใจเมื่อมองย้อนกลับมา แนะนำให้ทุกคนลองตั้งระบบเก็บเงินที่แน่นอน ตั้งเป้าหมายเล็ก ๆ ที่ทำได้ในแต่ละเดือน และค่อย ๆ พัฒนาทักษะการลงทุนของตัวเอง เพราะความมั่งคั่งไม่ได้เกิดจากโชคชะตา แต่มาจากความพยายามและวินัยที่ไม่หยุดแม้วันที่มันยากที่สุด
