Some people come into our lives for a short season, like the boosters on a rocket, pushing us to reach new altitudes before falling away as we continue on our journey. This metaphor really resonates because it highlights how crucial temporary relationships can be for personal growth. In my own experience, recognizing this has helped me appreciate each interaction more deeply. I've learned to cherish those who support me during critical times, even if our time together isn't permanent. It's comforting to understand that sometimes, letting go of people who were once close is necessary to handle the higher 'altitudes' or challenges life presents. Moreover, this perspective has helped me avoid holding onto 'bad people' or unhealthy connections simply out of fear of loneliness. Instead, I focus on building relationships that truly equip me to grow and thrive. Just like boosters are not meant to stay attached to the rocket permanently, some people are not meant to remain in our lives indefinitely—they have a specific role, and once fulfilled, it’s time for them to move on. Ultimately, embracing the seasons of relationships allows for a healthier mindset, more personal growth, and a better grasp of WHY certain people come and go. This wisdom reminds me to be grateful for every person and moment while also being open to the transitions that life inevitably brings.
