baby fever as a toddler mom 🙈🎨

2025/1/2 Edited to

... Read moreOh, the glorious, overwhelming, and utterly confusing sensation of baby fever when you're already knee-deep in toddler life! If you're a #mom like me, you know exactly what I mean. One moment you're marveling at your little one's milestones, and the next, your heart aches for another tiny newborn to cradle. It's a real emotional rollercoaster, especially when you start seriously considering going from 1 to 2 kids. For me, the decision wasn't just about feeling that undeniable pull for another baby; it was about truly understanding the shift it would bring. How would our family dynamic change? Would my toddler feel neglected? These are the questions that keep us up at night! Preparing for a second child is a whole different ball game than preparing for your first. You're already in the thick of motherhood, so the focus shifts from setting up a nursery to setting up your existing child for success as a big sibling. One of the biggest practical considerations is undoubtedly time management. With one toddler, you might feel like you've just about mastered the art of #cleaning and keeping things somewhat organized. But add a newborn to the mix, and suddenly every minute counts. I've found that pre-planning meals, utilizing quick cleaning hacks, and getting my toddler involved in simple chores (like putting toys in a basket during our regular #toyrotation) can make a huge difference. Speaking of toy rotation, it becomes even more crucial with two little ones! It helps keep toys fresh and reduces clutter, which is a lifesaver when you have double the tiny humans making double the mess. Another aspect that often gets overlooked is the emotional preparation for your firstborn. They've been the center of your universe, and suddenly, they'll be sharing that spotlight. We've started reading books about becoming a big brother/sister and talking about how exciting it will be to have a new baby in the house. It's about making them feel included and loved, ensuring they know their special place in the family isn't changing, just expanding. It's a journey filled with anticipation, a bit of apprehension, and a whole lot of love. Every mom's experience is unique, but the emotions and practicalities of welcoming a second child are deeply relatable in this incredible adventure of #motherhood.

For postpartum try Pink Stork Postpartum Mood Support. I swear by it. I have had anxiety prior which puts me at a higher risk of PPD/PPA yet I didn’t have any “baby blues” even. I took it daily for 6 months postpartum.
