French dip sandwiches with au jus 😋

The hubby requested French dips this week!! Family favorite, and super easy on a busy day!!

Any beef roast (I actually used a brisket for the first time because it’s all the store had)

1 can beef consommé

1 can French onion soup (or a packet of French onion powder soup mix)

8-12 oz beef broth (or 1 can)

Season roast with salt, pepper and garlic. Sear on both sides in olive oil, then cook on slow cooker on low for 8-10 hours.

Slice hoagie rolls or a French loaf, place shredded meat and a slice of provolone cheese, and broil in oven for a few minutes to melt the cheese and slightly toast the bread.

Serve with a small bowl of liquid from the slow cooker for your au jus.
