Hope you all know by now the standard Mac powder blushes are being reformulated (without talc) they are still available in Australia, Melba is included in the rerelease. I’m sure the new formulation will be great but… I guess we will find out. I had to get mine from Mecca btw.

As a makeup enthusiast, I’ve always been drawn to cult favorite products, and Mac’s Melba blush has been a staple in many beauty kits for years. Recently, the buzz around Mac’s reformulation of their powder blushes—removing talc from the ingredients—caught my attention. Talc is often used for its silky texture, but concerns over its safety and preference for cleaner formulas have made this change welcomed by many. I personally purchased the new talc-free Mac Melba from Mecca here in Australia, and my experience has been quite encouraging. The new formulation feels just as smooth and blends effortlessly on the skin, maintaining that soft matte finish that made the original so beloved. There is a subtle difference in texture, but the pigmentation remains true to the classic Melba shade, a muted peachy coral that suits a wide range of skin tones. For those worried about discontinued makeup products from Mac, it’s reassuring that Melba has been included in the rerelease lineup. This means longtime fans don’t have to worry about losing access to one of the brand’s iconic blushes. One tip I’d share after testing the new blush is to apply it with a light hand at first and build up intensity gradually. The powder feels finely milled and applies evenly without patchiness or excess powder fallout. This makes it easy to customize your look, whether you want a natural flush or a more vibrant pop of color. It’s always exciting to see brands reformulate popular products to meet evolving consumer needs. While I miss the exact feel of the original talc-based formula, I appreciate Mac’s effort to provide a safer, talc-free option that doesn’t compromise wear or pigmentation. If you’re a fan of Melba, definitely check out the new version—it’s worth adding to your makeup collection! Overall, the talc-free Mac Melba blush blends classic appeal with a modern twist, making it a must-try in the beauty community. Don't forget to share your own review or experience with it to help others navigating these product changes!
