3 looks with 1 outfit | playful, girly, casual

Lizzie McGuire you are an outfit repeater!! 🤭 ok girls here’s how I outfit repeat without being detected… changing the jacket! Each of these looks has a different vibe but all I did was change my outerwear. I picked this base because it’s versatile & most people have these items in their closet in case you want to recreate with your own jackets! I think the loafers were a nice touch though, because these looks could be wore in a casual office settings as well.

Outfit 1: plaid quilted jacket for a playful look

This one might be my favvv idk girls! I absolutely love this jacket, it was a random clearance Ross find and I was so excited about it. I think the print and just the design of a quilted jacket is super playful & gives cool girl vibes. I took a small honestly just because that’s what they had in store but I think it’s perfect. I’m a true size XS, but this fits perfectly when I layer underneath.

Outfit 2: denim bow jacket for a girly look

This jacket is one of my favs in my closet. It’s so fun and girly, which is definitely how I’d describe my overall style. The bow, the collar, and the quilted pattern make it super fun and trendy as well, but the denim makes it timeless in my opinion. With this base, it’s giving girly!! There’s so many ways to wear this jacket. I found this at H&M but I’ve seen this style all over. I took a true size XS as I wanted it to fit a bit better, not so much oversized.

Outfit 3: sherpa fleece jacket for a casual look

everybody loves a good fleece! Sherpa is super in and prob will be forever at this point! I think most people pair their fleece with leggings or sweats, but I love pairing something this casual with an outfit that is a bit more dressed up. I think it makes it more wearable for many more occasions than the other two. I took a size small so that it’d be a little bit oversized & baggy on me, but not too much!

Soooo girls… My spring secret to getting more wear out of an outfit? Change the jacket!! Shop your closet & make more looks with less work! Which is your fav look? What type of jacket would you have paired with this base outfit?

... Read moreOne of the best ways I've found to maximize your wardrobe without buying new clothes is by mastering the art of layering with jackets. Changing your outerwear can completely transform your look, allowing you to wear the same base pieces multiple times while keeping your style fresh and interesting. For example, a plaid quilted jacket adds a fun and playful element, bringing life and texture to a simple base outfit. It's perfect for weekend outings or casual settings where you want to express a bit of personality. I personally love hunting for such unique finds on clearance racks or thrift stores—it's rewarding and budget-friendly! If you're leaning towards a more feminine, trendy look, a denim bow jacket is a fantastic choice. The bow detail adds a cute touch while the denim keeps it timeless. This mix makes it versatile enough for day dates or casual office wear. Plus, pairing it with loafers, as mentioned, balances the outfit between relaxed and polished. Then there’s the sherpa fleece jacket, which is a staple for cozy, casual vibes. What I appreciate about sherpa fleece is how it can dress down an outfit that might otherwise be too formal. Wearing it with tailored pieces or loafers bridges comfort with style, making it perfect for running errands or casual Fridays at work. A personal tip is to always consider sizing to help the jacket complement your base outfit perfectly—whether you want a snug or oversized fit affects the overall vibe. And don't be afraid to experiment with textures and prints; they can add dimension and keep things visually interesting without needing an entirely new wardrobe. This approach not only saves time and money but also encourages creativity with what you already own. So next time you plan your outfit, try starting with a versatile base and swapping jackets to discover new looks effortlessly!
