weight loss journeys are weird🤷🏼‍♀️

So something I find so strange about my weight loss journey is this comparison. There is only around a 5 lbs difference in these photos. The first pic is from two years ago, when I had been in the gym consistently for 6 months. I weighed around 283 lbs then, and now I weigh 288 lbs.its crazy to me that I look smaller now than I did when I weighed less. I’ve been back in the gym for about a month now and already made huge progress. I’ve lost 14 lbs and gained a lot of muscle. This just shows it’s not always about the scale🫶🏼

Have you noticed anything crazy on your weight loss journey?

... Read moreMany people embarking on weight loss journeys often encounter surprising realities, just like I did. It's common to find that weight loss doesn't always correlate directly with changes in appearance. For instance, muscle gain can lead to a smaller physique even if the number on the scale increases. It's crucial to focus on overall health rather than just weight, as improved muscle tone and strength can significantly enhance your physical appearance, regardless of total weight loss. Additionally, advancements in fitness can take time, and fluctuations in weight can be normal during the process. Learning to celebrate non-scale victories, such as increased energy, better sleep, or fitting into favorite clothes, can offer the motivation needed to stay on track. If you're on a similar journey, share your experiences and let's inspire each other! Remember, the journey is unique for everyone, and recognizing what works for your own body is key to long-term success.
