... Read moreStarting my Friday mornings with a reflection on Proverbs 3:3-4 has truly deepened my sense of peace and purpose. The verse encourages us to hold mercy and truth close—not just as abstract ideals but as lived values that shape our interactions and self-worth. Tying these virtues "around your neck" and "on the tablet of your heart" suggests making them integral parts of our identity. From my experience, practicing mercy isn't always easy, especially when faced with difficult people or situations. Yet, choosing forgiveness and compassion often leads to more harmonious relationships and personal growth. Likewise, living with truth demands honesty with ourselves and others, which fosters trust and respect. I've noticed that when I consciously apply mercy and truth daily, I feel a stronger connection to my community and a deeper alignment with my spiritual beliefs. This practice has helped me find favor—not in a superficial sense but in gaining authentic esteem and peace within myself and in the sight of those around me. Encouraging others to embrace these values on Fridays sets a positive tone for the weekend and beyond. It’s a reminder to live deliberately, with kindness and integrity, and to appreciate the grace that comes from such commitment. So, on this Friday, I invite you to meditate on these words, let them inspire your actions, and find favor in your life’s journey.
