Krabby Patty Kollab Review! 🍔
hi folks! i told you all i’d review the krabby patty kollab meal from wendy’s and here i am after trying it!
spoiler alert, i didn’t LOVE it. and i’m someone with spongebob decor all over my house!
🍦🍔🍟🍍🍦🍔🍟🍍
the meal includes a burger with krabby patty secret formula sauce, fries, and a pineapple frosty. the fries were just fries, the sauce on the burger was just like thousand island/big mac sauce, and the frosty was a vanilla frosty with pineapple swirl throughout (and it was VERY small lol). i found it to be a very standard wendy’s combo meal with an extra sauce and frosty flavor that both didn’t make much of a difference with the rest of the meal.
all in all, i’d say it’s kind of disappointing and not worth ten bucks unless you’re dying to try it. the frosty wasn’t bad if the pineapple swirl was mixed in, and that’s the only thing i’m recommending. just don’t expect full dole whip flavor or anything. 🍍

Hey everyone! Following up on my Wendy's Krabby Patty Kollab meal review, I wanted to dive a little deeper into why I think it fell short and what true Spongebob fans like me really wanted from this collaboration. First off, many of you might be wondering about the 'Krabby Patty' aspect itself. For years, fans have dreamed of a real-life Krabby Patty. We've seen countless fan-made 'Krabby Patty recipes' online, often featuring unique spices or even green buns to mimic the cartoon. When Wendy's announced their 'Spongebob x Wendy's KRABBY PATTY KOLLAB MEAL,' the excitement was palpable. We weren't expecting an exact replica, of course, but something that captured the spirit of Bikini Bottom's most famous burger. Unfortunately, the burger itself was a standard Wendy's patty with a 'secret formula sauce' that, as I mentioned, tasted suspiciously like a milder Thousand Island or Big Mac sauce. It really didn't evoke the magical, indescribable flavor that makes Krabby Patties 'so good' in the show. If you're looking for that cartoon magic, you might still be better off trying a creative 'real life Krabby Patty recipe' at home! Another big question I've seen pop up is about other fast-food chains – like 'Krabby Patty McDonald's' or a 'KFC Spongebob meal.' As far as official collaborations go, this Wendy's one seems to be the main event currently. It makes sense for Wendy's to have an exclusive, but it also means fans don't have other direct fast-food alternatives for a Spongebob burger right now. Perhaps if this one had been a bigger hit, other chains might consider their own themed offerings. For now, if you're craving Spongebob food, you're looking at fan creations or novelty snacks. Speaking of novelty, many of you might be familiar with 'frozen Krabby Patties' (usually pre-formed fish patties for kids) or even '1 pounder Krabby Patty gummy' candies. These are fun, but they're not a full meal experience. The Wendy's Kollab aimed for that, but missed the mark on the 'Krabby Patty' part. The pineapple frosty, while not a 'Dole Whip' as some hoped, was the most unique item. My tip for anyone still curious about it: make sure to get the pineapple swirl thoroughly mixed in! It makes a huge difference. Also, the original review mentioned it was 'VERY small.' If you're a big frosty fan, you might want to consider the 'wendy's small vs medium frosty' options more carefully in general, as the Kollab frosty definitely felt on the smaller side. Ultimately, this 'Honest Review' of 'the Krabby Patty Kollab meal' from Wendy's found it to be a fun idea, but the execution left a lot to be desired for a true Spongebob enthusiast. It felt more like a marketing gimmick than a genuine attempt to bring the spirit of the Krabby Patty to life. If you're looking for that iconic flavor, you'll probably still need to dive into fan theories or get creative in your own kitchen. And maybe stick to their regular menu for a truly satisfying Wendy's experience!

I was beyond disappointed with this collab. The frosty was so gross. The pineapple syrup tasted like liquid medication. It would have been a bit better if they gave the pineapple mango lemonade. A cool idea would have been if they tried to create pretty patties. Dying the buns like Burger King does occasionally.
