this drink is a cold brew coffee with peppermint syrup, nondairy matcha cream cold foam, and pink and green sugar sprinkles on top! i think the color gradient as the cold foam sinks into the coffee is sooo cool and perfectly on theme!
i don’t drink a toooon of coffee (i’m more of a tea person) but it’s very good - and quite strong! if i drink coffee, it’s like a latte with mostly milk so just take my review with a grain of salt 😅 i don’t taste the matcha cold foam very much but the peppermint is very much the overwhelming flavor. i like mint though, so it’s fine! its giving mint chocolate chip ice cream vibes (even though theres no chocolate).
in any case - great if you like coffee and mint flavors!

After trying the Elphaba's Cold Brew myself, I can totally see why it's got everyone enchanted! This unique Starbucks drink is a brilliant nod to the iconic character, Elphaba, from the musical 'Wicked,' with its striking green color. The vibrant green matcha cold foam, often adorned with those fun pink and green sprinkles (just like the ones I saw in my cup, making it look extra magical!), perfectly captures her essence. It's more than just a drink; it's a themed experience that really brings a bit of magic to your coffee run. The 'vibrant green matcha cream cold foam' sitting atop the 'dark coffee base' creates a visually stunning gradient that's almost too pretty to drink. And those 'bat and witch hat graphics' I spotted on the marketing? They really set the mood! Now, let's talk taste. As someone who enjoys a good cold brew coffee, I found this one to be quite unique. The original review mentioned the strong peppermint, and I agree – it's definitely the star of the show. If you're a fan of minty treats, you'll likely love it, giving off those refreshing mint chocolate chip vibes without the chocolate. However, if strong peppermint isn't always your cup of... well, coffee, you might consider asking for fewer pumps of peppermint syrup to balance the flavor. Starbucks baristas are usually great at customizing! If you're sensitive to caffeine but love the minty cold brew feel, you could even try asking for a decaf cold brew base or a lighter roast. I also think the matcha cold foam adds an interesting twist. While the original review noted it wasn't a dominant flavor, its vibrant green hue is undeniable, and it contributes significantly to that creamy texture. For those who might want more matcha flavor, or perhaps a different green drink experience, you could try asking for an extra scoop of matcha in your cold foam, or even consider a classic Starbucks Matcha Latte with Vanilla Cold Foam as an alternative. It still gives you that beautiful green color but with a different flavor profile. Some might even compare the visual to a 'starbucks brewed green tea cup' if they add a cold foam! For anyone looking to dive deeper into the world of cold brews, there are so many options beyond just the Elphaba's. If you prefer a classic, a black cold brew coffee with a splash of cream or a simple syrup is always a solid choice. Or, if you're into richer, sweeter options, the Vanilla Sweet Cream Cold Brew is a popular pick. Some of my friends even enjoy a cold brew cappuccino for a different texture and frothiness. The beauty of Starbucks is the ability to customize! Don't be afraid to experiment with different syrups or milks to make any cold brew your own, truly achieving your 'Elphaba's bliss.' Whether you're team Elphaba or just love a unique coffee, finding your perfect blend is part of the fun. Embracing the 'Wicked' theme, you could even try creating your own 'Elphaba cocktail' at home by mixing cold brew with mint extract and a hint of vanilla for a similar refreshing, magical blend. It's all about finding what makes your taste buds sing and what makes your 'starbucks cold brew coffee cup' truly special!

That sounds super yummy I hope I get the chance to try it out before its taken off the menu
