When you forget who you are, Proverbs 18 reminds you to slow down, humble yourself….
In my time of studying and reading the book of proverbs, I am reminded that when you forget who you are, Proverbs 18 reminds us to slow down, humble ourselves, and guard our words because the power starts in our mouths.
Day 1: Be Teachable, Not Defensive
Before reacting, pause and ask, “What can I learn here?”
Affirmation: I am open, teachable, and rooted in wisdom, not ego.
Day 2: Protect Your Tongue, Protect Your Peace
Speak life into your home, your business, your body, and your mind. If it doesn’t sound like God’s truth, don’t say it.
Affirmation: My words create light, healing, and life.
Day 3: Walk in Humility, Not Self-Reliance
Pray daily for a teachable heart and ask God to reveal any pride disguised as independence.
Affirmation: I walk humbly, and God elevates me in His timing.
Day 4: Guard Your Ears and Circle
Audit your circle. Surround yourself with women who speak purpose, not poison.
Affirmation: I attract peace, loyalty, and truth into my life.
Day 5: Choose Integrity When It’s Not Popular
Before every decision, ask, “Would I still choose this if no one knew?”
Affirmation: I walk in truth, even when it costs me comfort.
Day 6: Rest in Who God Says You Are
Start your day by declaring one truth about who you are in Christ.
Affirmation: I am God’s daughter, covered and confident in His name.
Day 7: Nurture Real Relationships
Be intentional this week—check in on someone who pours into you and thank them.
Affirmation: I choose relationships that align with peace, purpose, and faith.
