A Prayer for the Monks Walking the World for Peace
God of peace,
we lift up the monks who walk this earth with quiet courage and open hands.
Cover their steps with protection and purpose as they move through cities and villages, carrying calm into crowded spaces and hope into heavy hearts.
Bless their discipline, their humility, and their willingness to serve without applause.
Where the world is loud, let their silence speak wisdom.
Where there is chaos, let their presence soften the air.
Where there is fear, let peace arrive before words ever do.
I thank You for the moments when their paths cross ours, like receiving a simple bracelet in the middle of Times Square, a small reminder that peace can find us anywhere, even in the busiest places.
Let those encounters linger longer than the moment, changing how we walk, how we speak, how we choose compassion.
Strengthen these messengers of peace in body, mind, and spirit.
Provide for their needs, guard their journeys, and multiply the impact of every step they take.
And teach us, too, to walk the world a little more gently, carrying peace wherever our feet land.
In Jesus name, Amen.
