Ingredients:

½ cup light brown sugar, packed
For the Cake:
1 box pineapple cake mix
3 large eggs
½ cup melted unsalted butter, slightly cooled
½ cup pineapple juice (instead of water)
1 (8 oz) can crushed pineapple, undrained
½ tsp vanilla extract/bean paste (optional, but adds warmth)
Optional: ½ cup chopped maraschino cherries, patted dry
For the Pineapple Glaze:
1 cup powdered sugar
2–3 tbsp pineapple juice (adjust for thickness)
Pinch of salt
