I’ll be honest with you persimmons are not my favorite fruit. I picked them from my neighbor’s tree in the Fall last year and I can’t tell you how many tiny worms that I saw making its way out the fruit as I waited for it to ripen. Or how many unripe ones I tried that left the cotton ball experience of having a dry mouth. I am convinced that somethings in life you only need to try once and for me, this may very well be it! 😂

SN: I could not figure out which type of persimmon this was. My neighbor moved into the house and inherited the tree and didn’t know. Between the taste and its shape, it is like a cross breed of a Fuyu and Hachiya. Is that possible? 🤔 #persimmon #garden #harvest #homemadejam #growyourownfruit
