First off, our 1912 fixer-upper! It's been a true labor of love (and sometimes, pure chaos!). We bought it four years ago, and every creaky floorboard and original window tells a story. We're slowly but surely bringing it back to life, blending its historic charm with modern comfort. I'm learning so much about DIY renovations, finding unique vintage pieces, and dealing with the unexpected challenges of older homes. I'd love to share our progress, budget-friendly reno tips, and maybe even some 'what not to do' moments! Have any of you tackled a big home renovation project? I'd love to hear your stories! My passion for the outdoors is huge. Mountain adventures, hiking, and backpacking aren't just hobbies; they're how I recharge. There's nothing quite like the feeling of reaching a summit or spending a night under the stars. I'm always looking for new trails, gear recommendations, and sharing my experiences, from epic long-distance treks to scenic day hikes. I'm a total 'granola grl' at heart, embracing nature and sustainable living wherever I can. For those who love exploring the wilderness, what's your favorite trail you've ever hiked? And yes, music! Especially jam bands. If you know, you know! My heart beats for Dead & Company, and I'm already buzzing for the Sphere return. Music festivals and live shows are my happy place. I'm keen to share my favorite bands, concert experiences, and maybe even some awesome playlists. Who else is a fellow jam band enthusiast? Beyond these core passions, I'm also deeply into travel. Whether it's exploring new cities, finding hidden gems, or just planning the next adventure, I love discovering new places and cultures. Thrifting for unique fashion finds and home decor is another favorite pastime – there’s something so rewarding about giving pre-loved items a new life. And of course, a good cup of coffee and appreciating art, in all its forms, are daily joys. As a nurse practitioner in urgent care and emergency medicine, my professional life is often intense, but it's incredibly rewarding. It’s a constant reminder of the importance of health and wellbeing. I might occasionally share insights or musings from that world, always with respect for privacy, of course.
