She prayed for YEARS that I’d be saved, LONG before I called on God myself. Her prayers were quiet, yet consistent, and maybe ones she thought were going unheard. But she never gave up on me. She kept hoping. Kept sharing. Kept loving me like Jesus would.
Less than a year ago, I was living for the world. I had little interest in God but she always showed me Jesus. Not by necessarily preaching it, but by living it. Steady, patient, and full of grace. Pastor Philip Anthony Mitchell once said, “You can belong before you believe.” And that’s exactly what she gave me — a safe place, a true friendship, a glimpse of Jesus.
Last August, when we both least expected it, God saved me. He reached into my mess and rewrote my story. Now here we are not even a year since I’ve been saved… worshipping side by side, praising Jesus with 17,000 others at our first Summer Worship Nights!
