Why is our 18th Christmas special??
18 Christmases side-by-side… but this one is different. This year, we don’t just decorate for Christmas, we celebrate Christ.
For the first time, our home is united in faith, worshiping the One this season is really about. The greatest gift isn’t under the tree. He came wrapped in swaddling cloth.
Here’s to our first Christmas as a family of believers. May every year ahead be filled with His presence, His peace, and His wonder. All glory to Jesus. 🎄✨🙌
Luke 2:11 — “Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; He is the Messiah, the Lord.”
This 18th Christmas is truly a milestone because it marks the first time the family is celebrating as believers united in faith. Unlike past holidays focused mainly on decorations and gifts, this year centers on worshiping Christ, the real reason for the season. Celebrating Jesus’ birth brings a deeper significance and joy that goes beyond the usual festivities. The special nature of this Christmas reminds us that the greatest gift isn’t something wrapped under the tree, but the Savior who came wrapped in simple swaddling cloth, humbling Himself for our salvation. Luke 2:11 perfectly captures this moment: "Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; He is the Messiah, the Lord." This shift in focus from material to spiritual blessings enriches the holiday experience, inspiring hope, peace, and wonder that last far beyond the season. Many families find that emphasizing faith during Christmas strengthens bonds and brings a profound sense of gratitude and purpose. For those looking to embrace a similar celebration, consider incorporating daily readings of scripture, family prayers, or worship songs focused on Jesus’ birth. This intentional practice can transform your holiday into a meaningful season of blessing and reflection. Ultimately, this Christmas is special because it captures the essence of faith, community, and love, honoring the true source of joy—Jesus Christ. May every Christmas henceforth be filled with His peace and glory, making each year more meaningful than the last.
