BOOK Review! The Banks Empire!
📚BOOK REVIEW: Prime: The Banks Empire by N’Dia Rae
BABYYYYYYYY 😮💨😮💨😮💨 THIS BOOK?!?!?!
Prime said peace was never an option 😭🤣 because WHAT WAS THAT ENDING?!?! That entire last portion of this book was straight chaos, unhinged, jaw on the FLOOR every page 🤯 Every time I thought ok maybe we can breathe now … ABSOLUTELY NOT 😩🤣
Prime is LETHAL. Like not book-boyfriend cute toxic… I mean ACTUALLY dangerous 😮💨🤣 and baby when it comes to what’s HIS?! he does. not. play. AT ALL. 🥴💀 touch it if you want to and see what happens energy the entire time 😭
But one of my FAVORITE moments? Whew ❤️🩹
That conversation about how Black men are taught they can’t be soft… can’t be vulnerable… can’t be artistic… can’t show emotion because somehow that gets labeled as weakness. How they’re expected to stay hard, keep the mask on, never let anybody see the cracks.
THAT PART?!?! Whewwww. 😮💨 Because that hit deeper than the drama for me. As a mom raising Black sons, that scene sat with me differently 🥺❤️ That pressure to “man up” so early, to suppress softness and emotion just to survive? Yeah… that was a powerful moment.
This wasn’t just hood drama for shock value either — this was giving loyalty, betrayal, trauma, survival, family mess, and that harsh reality that EVERYBODY around you is not for you. Whew! If “it be ya own people” was a BOOK?! THIS IS IT 👏🏽😩
And can we talk about that emotional pull because under all the chaos, there’s pain, survival, and folks just trying to make it the only way they know how.
BUT THIS CLIFFHANGER?!?!?!??!
N’Dia Rae… respectfully… COUNT YOUR DAYS 😭🤣 because EXCUSE ME?!?!
AND THE VERY END?!?!?! HARPO… WHO DIS WOMAN?!?!?! 🤣🤣🤣🤦🏽♀️ because MA’AM?! HELLO?! WE JUST GONNA DROP THAT AND WALK OFF?! 😭💀
I was LOCKED IN. Fast-paced, gritty, emotional, messy, and unhinged in the best way 😮💨🔥
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨

If you're seeing 'The Banks Empire' pop up and wondering what all the hype is about, let me tell you, N'Dia Rae has crafted something truly unforgettable here. Beyond just a captivating story, this book delves deep into the raw realities of urban life, family dynamics, and the constant struggle for power and respect. What truly makes 'Prime: The Banks Empire' stand out in the urban fiction genre is its unflinching look at complex characters. Prime, for instance, isn't just your typical dangerous leading man. While his ruthlessness is undeniable, especially when it comes to protecting what's his, the novel also hints at the deep-seated reasons behind his hardened exterior. It touches on the societal pressures that often force Black men to suppress vulnerability and emotion, a theme that truly resonated with me as a reader. It’s not just about the action; it’s about the heart – or lack thereof – forged by circumstance. From the moment I saw that striking cover, featuring a man with dreadlocks and a fur coat, I knew I was in for an intense journey. Reading this on my Kindle, I was completely immersed, turning pages faster than I thought possible. N'Dia Rae's writing style is incredibly immersive, pulling you into the chaos and making you feel every betrayal, every moment of fear, and every glimmer of hope. It’s a masterclass in building tension, and honestly, the pacing is just *chef's kiss*. For those who love a book that sparks discussion, 'The Banks Empire' offers so much. We could talk for hours about the moral ambiguities of the characters, the choices they make under pressure, and how far one would go for loyalty. It challenges you to think about what 'family' truly means and how easily 'your own people' can become your biggest adversaries. It's not just shock value; it's a narrative rich with trauma and survival, echoing real-world struggles many face. And that ending? Absolutely brutal! It's the kind of cliffhanger that makes you want to immediately find the author and demand the next book, no matter the cost! If you're looking for a read that's gritty, emotional, fast-paced, and utterly unhinged in the best possible way, then pick up 'Prime: The Banks Empire.' You won't regret diving into this world, though you might need a moment to recover afterward!

I have this on my radar, let me gone head and bump this up
