Replying to @Josie Peterson the lip filler process 🙌🏼 excuse the fact that the only video I actually got ready for the day and don’t look like a troll in my videos, is the before lip filler 😂 #l#lipfillerl#lipfillerprocessu#utah
So you're considering lip filler? It's a big decision, and understanding the full journey can help you feel more confident! Let me share some insights based on my own experience and what I've learned. Before Lip Filler: Getting Ready! Before you even think about getting lip filler, it's super important to do your research. Find a reputable, experienced injector – someone who prioritizes natural-looking results and patient safety. I spent a lot of time looking at portfolios and reading reviews. You'll likely have a consultation where you can discuss your goals and ask any questions. They'll assess your lips and facial structure to recommend the best approach. It’s a good idea to avoid blood-thinning medications like ibuprofen or aspirin a week before your appointment, if medically cleared, to minimize bruising. Also, try to stay hydrated! Getting Lip Filler: The Appointment Itself On the day of your appointment, your injector will usually apply a numbing cream to your lips to make the process more comfortable. This takes about 15-20 minutes to kick in. Once you're numb, they'll start the injections. It's usually a series of small pokes. You might feel some pressure or a slight stinging sensation, but with the numbing cream, it's generally manageable. My injector was great at checking in with me throughout. The actual injection process itself is surprisingly quick, often lasting only 15-30 minutes. Right After & The Next Day: Swelling and Bruising are Normal! Immediately after, your lips will look much fuller – often more swollen than the final result will be. This is totally normal! You might notice some small pin-prick marks or even a tiny bit of bleeding. The next day, expect more swelling and potential bruising. My lips definitely felt tender and looked a bit lumpy. Ice packs can be your best friend during this phase to help reduce swelling. Keep your head elevated when sleeping, and avoid strenuous exercise for the first 24-48 hours. A Couple of Days Later: The Healing Continues The peak swelling usually subsides after 2-3 days, but you'll still have some puffiness and any bruising will likely be more prominent. Don't panic if your lips don't look perfect yet! They're still healing. Continue to be gentle, avoid excessive touching, and stay hydrated. This is when patience really pays off. 2 Weeks Later: Seeing the Results! By the two-week mark, most of the swelling and bruising should have completely resolved, and you'll really start to see your final results. This is when the filler has settled, and your lips will feel much softer and more natural. If you have any concerns or feel like you need a touch-up, this is usually the time to schedule a follow-up with your injector. Remember, everyone heals differently, and your experience might vary slightly, but knowing these stages can help you navigate your own lip filler journey with confidence!
