I didn't know
I didn't know that this was going to be St Patrick day with my youngest son before choosing to join the Navy.
St. Patrick's Day is a cultural and religious holiday celebrated on March 17, marking the death of St. Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland. It's a time for joyous gatherings, vibrant parades, and various customs, ranging from wearing green attire to enjoying traditional Irish food and drinks. As families and friends come together, the day serves as a reminder of the importance of heritage and community. For military families, such occasions can carry special significance, creating lasting memories even amidst the challenges of military life. Participating in these celebrations can strengthen family bonds and provide a sense of normalcy, enriching the experience of service. The connection between personal milestones and professional commitments, like joining the Navy, often highlights the unpredictable nature of life. It's essential to embrace these moments, allowing them to inspire and motivate us in our journeys.
