A BETTER YOU IS A HEALTHY YOU

Look, I’m not going to say it, but I can’t help myself—it’s a New Year, and there’s a New Me I’m excited to meet. I’ve been here before, trying to eat healthy, showing up to the gym, only to fall back into old habits after a month or two. But I’m learning that nothing in life happens overnight. If you’re anything like me, this year doesn’t have to repeat last year’s pattern.

This time, I’m committing to trusting the process and believing in transformation from the inside out through faith. After all, faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not (yet) seen (Hebrews 11:6) 🤍

Affirm this with me:

I embrace my journey and every opportunity that comes my way this year. This will not be my breaking season; it will be my making season. I will not give up until I see all that I have hoped for come to pass.

In addition to embracing faith and personal transformation, focusing on nutrition and fitness can pave the way for a healthier life. Consider incorporating healthy meals into your daily routine. Prioritize whole foods, such as fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, and whole grains. Health experts recommend drinking half your body weight in ounces of water each day to stay hydrated and support overall health. Meal prepping can be a game-changer; planning ahead allows you to maintain healthy eating habits even on your busiest days. Popular options might include quest protein snacks, low-carb wraps, or even delicious cauliflower mash. Don't forget to balance your macros by including healthy fats from sources like avocado or nuts. While physical fitness is crucial, it's equally important to cultivate a positive mindset. Setting realistic goals and affirming your daily intentions can enhance your motivation. Remember, change takes time and consistency, so celebrate every small achievement along the way. As we strive for a better self, let’s support each other within our communities. Sharing experiences and tips on platforms like Lemon8 can provide encouragement and accountability in our health journeys.
