Onyx Storm book rating 5/5

This book is so good, but i am very biased because i absolutely love this series! All though i will say it ruined me, my heart still hurts, it literally feels like a break up. 😭

Overall i do, definitely, recommend this book!! 🤍

Theory (NO SPOILERS) : The next book will be silver i think going on the patter of the previous books!!

... Read moreIt's been a whirlwind since I dove into 'Onyx Storm,' and as a reader here in the UK, the hype has been absolutely real! When I gave this book a solid 5/5, it wasn't just because I adore Rebecca Yarros's work; it was because Onyx Storm truly felt like an emotional earthquake. My heart genuinely hurts, and it's a feeling many fellow UK book lovers I've chatted with can relate to. It’s not often a book leaves you feeling like you’ve gone through a personal breakup, but this one managed it with such intensity. What makes Onyx Storm so incredibly captivating, especially after the brilliance of Fourth Wing and *Iron Flame*? For me, it’s the masterful way Rebecca Yarros continues to develop her world and characters. You become so deeply invested in their journeys, their struggles, and their triumphs that when certain events unfold (no spoilers, I promise!), the emotional fallout feels incredibly personal. It’s a testament to the author’s skill that I found myself completely immersed, forgetting the world outside my reading nook while turning page after page of this epic fantasy. The stakes feel higher than ever, and the character arcs are just phenomenal. If you loved watching the journey unfold in the previous books, prepare for an even deeper dive into the emotional core of this universe. Speaking of the series, seeing *Fourth Wing*, *Iron Flame*, and Onyx Storm stacked together on my shelf just makes me so happy. Each book builds on the last, raising the bar and expanding the lore in such satisfying ways. The world-building remains top-tier, and the magic system continues to be both intriguing and dangerous. Now, let's talk theories! My mind has been buzzing ever since I finished the last page. Based on the pattern we've seen so far, I'm strongly leaning towards the next book being titled 'Silver.' It just feels right, doesn't it? The thematic progression, the way Rebecca names her books – it aligns perfectly. I’ve seen some amazing discussions popping up in UK book groups online, with people piecing together clues and speculating about what's next for our beloved characters. It's such a joy to be part of a community that's so passionate about these stories. Whether you're hunting for a special UK edition or just want to join the conversation, there are so many ways to connect with other fans. For anyone in the UK still on the fence, or wondering where to grab your copy, local bookstores often have fantastic displays, and online retailers typically offer various editions. Don't miss out on this incredible journey. Onyx Storm is more than just a book; it's an experience that will stay with you long after you've closed the final chapter. I truly hope you love it as much as I did, and I can't wait to hear your theories too!

i decided after reading fourth wing that i was going to wait until all the other books were out before i finished them. i cannot deal with the cliff hangers and emotional deviation without an ending lol. so i am patiently waiting
