My Spa Morning 🧖🏼♀️
Sundays mornings are my reset days 🧘🏼♀️
•
I wake up, do my skincare and head to my favorite spa for a Sauna Session. It’s a great way for me to detox after the week and be ready for the week ahead! It’s also great for my body to relax and for my muscles to reset!

After the spa I always stop for an Açaí Bowl and have that and a protein shake before starting my day!

How do you reset for the week?

It's so wonderful to hear how you prioritize your Sunday spa morning for a much-needed reset! That sauna session followed by a nourishing Açaí bowl sounds like the perfect ritual to detox and prepare for the week ahead. I truly believe that carving out time for self-care is essential for our overall wellness journey. For those of us who might not always have access to a dedicated spa each week, or are looking for ways to extend that feeling of relaxation, creating a 'spa-like experience at home' can be just as rejuvenating! I've found a few simple tricks that help me capture that blissful spa vibe right in my own bathroom. First, consider setting the ambiance. Light some candles, put on some calming music, and diffuse your favorite essential oils – lavender or eucalyptus are my go-to for relaxation. Then, draw a warm bath. Add some Epsom salts for muscle relaxation, a bath bomb, or even a few drops of essential oil directly into the water. This is a fantastic way to soothe tired muscles and melt away stress, giving you a quiet moment to yourself. While soaking, you could apply a hydrating face mask or a hair treatment. It's amazing how much a simple mask can make you feel pampered! Another great at-home spa activity is a gentle body scrub followed by a rich moisturizer. Exfoliating helps to remove dead skin cells, leaving your skin feeling incredibly soft and refreshed, just like after a professional treatment. Don't forget to hydrate from the inside out too – a refreshing glass of cucumber-infused water can make you feel like you're at a luxury resort. Now, if you are planning a trip to a spa, knowing 'how to prepare for your spa day' can really enhance your experience. I always recommend hydrating well in the days leading up to your visit. Drink plenty of water and avoid heavy meals right before your treatments. Arrive a little early to give yourself time to change, relax, and perhaps enjoy the amenities like a steam room or a short dip in a cold plunge pool beforehand. Remember to wear comfortable clothing and an open mind! It’s your time to completely switch off. Beyond saunas, spas often offer a variety of other 'activities' that contribute to a full reset. Consider trying a deep tissue massage to work out any knots, a refreshing facial tailored to your skin type, or even a meditation class if available. Each activity offers unique benefits, from improved circulation to mental clarity. Taking a brief 'glimpse' at the spa's menu online can help you plan your perfect day. What a wonderful 'toda' (or today!) to focus on self-care and wellness. It’s all about creating those moments of peace and rejuvenation in our busy lives.
