Dinner at 29 weeks pregnant with GD (and numbers)

This was from last week so I was 29 weeks pregnant and I have gestational diabetes (diagnosed at 26 weeks).

⭐️I made homemade alfredo with angel hair pasta, pan seared chicken (with seasonings of course), and a ton of fresh brocoli with I can’t believe it’s not butter

⭐️For my drink I had 32oz of water with a Krystal light lemon tea packet.

⭐️GD # was 126 and this was 1 hour after fasting so I did good!

‼️ important notes:

For my doctors office you have to be 130 and under 1 hour after fasting. Please note: different doctors have different parameters so go with what you and your doc discuss. I am NOT on meds or insulin for my type of GD. ‼️

A well-balanced dinner can include homemade dishes that align with diabetic nutrition guidelines. One savory option is homemade Alfredo sauce, made with low-calorie ingredients and served with angel hair pasta for a lighter meal. Adding pan-seared chicken not only boosts protein intake but also adds flavor. When dealing with GD, staying hydrated is crucial. Opting for a 32oz water drink infused with low-calorie flavor improves hydration without excessive sugar. Monitoring your glucose levels post-meal is important; for instance, aiming for a blood sugar reading of 130 or below one hour after meals is recommended for many women, although individual targets may vary based on medical guidance. To further enhance your meal experience, consider including a variety of colorful vegetables, such as fresh broccoli. These additions not only contribute to overall health but also provide essential vitamins, minerals, and dietary fiber. That is so amazing, but you could've dropped the pasta and had better control of your blood sugar! Also stop having things that have sugar substitute when you were pregnant, please!
