January 2025 reads
January was roughhh I started and stopped so many books. Not that I DNFd them, I just wasn’t finding a book that I could fall get into. I felt like I was in a crazy reading slump so I started looking at my TBR list and specifically thriller. I needed a good page turner!
BookBub emails me daily deals and it’s how I found the perfect affair. It’s available for free on KU and could buy for $0.99. I read that in 3 days (would have been quicker but I wasn’t feeling well due to my rough high risk pregnancy. Once I finished that, Frieda McFadden (one of my auto buy authors) had a new release so of course I had to jump in to that. I finished it on literally the last day of January.
The Perfect Affair
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5
SOOO many twists and turns and I didn’t see those multiple ending twists coming! Couldn’t guess any of the twists and those are my favorite type of thrillers. I audibly gasped multiple times while reading this book. You have to move this to the top of your TBR. I have a few more books on my list now from this author that are in my top 10 on my TBR. I can’t wait to read those! 5/5
The Crash
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4/5
I finished in two days and couldn’t put it down. I did take a star because I felt this book was so different from her other work and I was actually able
to guess several things in this book which with Freida’s books I have never been able to do-so that was disappointing. The ending also wasn’t as shocking as some of her other books but I still enjoyed it all in all so 4/5 stars it is!
