Learn To loom day 1
So today was my first attempt at looming.
With looming…size matters! I didn’t realize at the time the project I was doing (baby hat), the yarn was simply too thin so it created large space between stitches even though I was indeed looming correctly.
So I used it to practice some techniques I had been learning instead. I then took it apart and actually made a Pom Pom which came out great- though I learned I need to get scissors that are actually sharp!
I’m proud with the progress I had but didn’t want to waste anymore time on a hat that would basically have holes…it would defeat the purpose.
I also learned to use the loom pen which really speeds up the process.
Tomorrow I’ll be making a trip to hobby lobby while they still have their sale going and I’ll be getting some better yearn for a hat. Something a little thicker!
Can ’t wait to try again tomorrow. So far I’m loving it!!
