are face cleansers worth spending more on?

... Read moreWhen deciding whether to invest in a high-end face cleanser, there are several important factors to consider that can help you make a more informed choice. Firstly, the ingredients play a crucial role. Premium cleansers often include nourishing botanicals, antioxidants, and gentle surfactants that can enhance skin health without stripping natural oils. Cheaper cleansers might rely on harsher detergents or fewer beneficial ingredients, which could impact sensitive or dry skin negatively over time. However, price does not always guarantee effectiveness. Many affordable cleansers contain tried-and-true ingredients like glycerin, hyaluronic acid, and gentle cleansing agents that successfully remove dirt and makeup while maintaining skin balance. The key lies in understanding your specific skin type — whether oily, dry, combination, or sensitive — and selecting a formula that caters to those needs. Another point from users’ real experiences is that the texture and feel of a cleanser might influence satisfaction but not necessarily results. For example, foaming cleansers can feel refreshing but may dry out sensitive skin if overused. Cream or balm cleansers often hydrate more but might not suit oily skin. Some have noted that cleansers from brands like Skinfix, known for barrier-supporting formulas, or Fresh Start with thermal water soothing properties, can provide added benefits. Yet, lower-priced product lines have improved significantly in formulations, offering comparable cleansing power without the prestige price tag. In summary, evaluating what a cleanser contains and how it suits your personal skincare routine matters more than the sticker price alone. Patch testing new products, researching ingredient lists, and prioritizing gentle and effective cleansing will guide you toward the best option. Ultimately, whether to spend more depends on your skin’s response and your preference for certain textures or added skincare benefits. Remember, the foundation of great skin includes consistent cleansing with the right product for your skin, followed by adequate moisturizing and sun protection. Investing wisely in your skin doesn't always mean choosing the priciest cleanser — sometimes, simpler, affordable options can work just as well and keep your skin happy and healthy.

if the cheaper works just the same, might as well buy that stuff. I know that they have some cleansers at five below, and i wanted to see if they worked well for my acne…. let’s hope so LOL

Honestly, if a cheaper cleanser works just as well for your skin, why fix what isn't broken? 🤷‍♀️
