why is my makeup not staying in place??

Girls I need help! I always have to reapply my makeup because I find it always rubbing off so easily but I use a setting spray so I don’t get why it does this. Maybe it’s my setting spray not working? What products would you recommend for your makeup to stay in place?!

... Read moreMany people face the frustrating issue of makeup not staying in place, even when using a setting spray like the NYX Setting Spray. Several factors can cause makeup to rub off quickly. Firstly, skin type plays a big role—oily skin tends to break down makeup faster, so choosing products formulated for oily skin or applying mattifying primers can help. Secondly, not prepping your skin properly can affect longevity. Make sure your skin is clean and moisturized before makeup application, and use a primer that suits your skin type to create a smooth base. The choice of makeup products also matters. Lightweight foundations and cream-based products might be less long-lasting compared to powders or long-wearing formulations. It is recommended to test different products to find what works best for your skin. For setting sprays, while NYX Setting Spray is a popular choice, some users have found better results with other sprays like the XYU Professional Makeup The Marsh Mellow Setting Spray Matte Finish mentioned in the community. This particular spray promises a long-lasting matte effect which might help reduce makeup rub-off. Additionally, layering techniques can improve makeup staying power. Setting your foundation with a translucent powder before applying setting spray can lock in the product. Blotting excess oil during the day without disturbing makeup also helps maintain a fresh look. In summary, to keep your makeup from rubbing off, focus on proper skin prep, choose suitable long-wearing products, consider layering with powders, and explore different setting sprays to find the one that works best for you. Engaging with the makeup community for recommendations on setting sprays and techniques can also provide helpful insights and solutions.

Is your skin oily? If so, setting powder works very well
