MJAOR APARTMENT RESET!!✨🩷👏🏻☺️
After a truly long and fun weekend, my apartment often looks like a beautiful disaster zone. I love making memories, but the aftermath can feel a bit overwhelming! That's why I've developed my own MAJOR APARTMENT RESET routine that helps me quickly reclaim my space and my sanity. It's not about a deep clean, but about getting things back to a functional, aesthetically pleasing state so I can start the new week fresh. My first step is always to declutter surfaces. I grab a basket or a laundry hamper and go room by room, collecting everything that doesn't belong. Remote controls, books, stray socks, snack wrappers – it all goes in the basket. Once I've cleared the main surfaces, I either put things away immediately or sort the basket later when I have a bit more time. This instantly makes the space feel less chaotic. Next up is a quick laundry refresh. If I've had guests or just been super active, there's always a pile of clothes or towels. I throw a load in and get it started. There's nothing quite like the smell of fresh laundry to make a home feel clean. While that's running, I move on to the floors. A quick vacuum or sweep of the high-traffic areas makes a huge difference. I don't do a full house vacuum, just the living room, kitchen, and maybe the bedroom if it's looking particularly crumb-filled. Then, it's time for a quick wipe-down. I keep a multi-surface spray and a microfiber cloth handy. I quickly wipe down kitchen counters, the bathroom sink, and any tables or surfaces that have accumulated dust or spills. This step takes literally five minutes but elevates the cleanliness factor significantly. Finally, I always empty all the trash cans and take out the recycling. It prevents odors and just gives a sense of completion. To top it all off, I'll light a candle or use an essential oil diffuser to freshen the air. A pleasant scent can do wonders for making an apartment feel reset and inviting. This whole MAJOR APARTMENT RESET usually takes me less than an hour, sometimes even just 30 minutes if I'm really focused. It's a game-changer for my Monday mornings, preventing that 'start-of-the-week dread' when looking at a messy home. It's amazing how much better I feel when my home is tidy and ready for the week ahead. Give it a try after your next long fun weekend – you might be surprised at how much calmer and more productive you feel!
