Why cant I bring the damn yum cookies home...

Why can’t I bring the damn yum cookies home?! 😩

I work at a café and sometimes there are leftover cookies at the end of the day. They’re not sold, they’re just… sitting there. Warm, soft, perfect… and I want them. But apparently, taking them home is a big no-no 😤

I get it, rules are rules. But like… who are these cookies really hurting? They’re not going to anyone else, they’d just go to waste. I just want one little treat after a long shift, is that too much to ask?

Are you allowed to take leftover food home from your job, or is this just me being greedy? 🍪

I swear, sometimes the hardest part of working at a café isn’t the rush hour, it’s watching cookies you can’t have! 😭

when I worked we weren't allowed too or supposed to but we did it anyway especially if the stuff was just gonna go in the trash anyway, noone ever got in trouble for it

There’s an app called To Good To Go where businesses can sell their leftover food at the end of the day for a low price. It’s usually a bundle of random stuff for like $5. You should mention it to your manager so things are going to waste. It is weird that they won’t let you guys take any for free though.
