Viral makeup products that aren’t worth it 💔

When it comes to viral makeup products, sometimes the hype doesn’t match the quality or performance. From my personal experience working in a makeup studio, I’ve tried countless foundations that promise flawless results but fall short in real-life wearability. For example, foundations like Rare Beauty, highly praised for their blushes and bronzers, surprisingly disappointed me with their foundation. Despite the high price point, the formula felt heavy and lacked longevity on my skin. On the other hand, brands like AUS LABS offered buildable and lightweight formulas that gave a soft satin finish, making them worth trying. Lancôme's reformulated Teint Idole Ultra Wear was another letdown—it dried too orange on my skin and didn’t match the great performance of their previous formula. Fenty Beauty’s foundation did meet basic expectations but wasn’t exciting enough to become a staple in my routine. In contrast, Estee Lauder’s Double Wear Stay-in-Place Makeup stands out. It offers a creamy texture that blends effortlessly and provides a filter-like effect, although it comes at a higher price. One of my favorites has been a lightweight foundation that naturally adjusts to skin tone and texture without causing irritation. It’s perfect for everyday use and surprisingly affordable when purchased through certain online retailers. From my perspective, the key when choosing makeup products is to consider more than just online popularity. Check the finish, skin compatibility, and how the product wears throughout the day. Viral trends can be tempting, but relying on personal testing or trusted reviews ensures you invest in products that truly enhance your beauty routine.
