Things I've learned during healing
Trusting God through the healing process.
“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.”

Healing is often portrayed as a linear journey, but my experience has taught me it's far from that. Healing is a deeply personal process filled with ups and downs, moments of strength and vulnerability. One of the most important lessons I’ve learned is that rest is not a sign of weakness. Our bodies and minds need time to recover, and honoring that need for rest can actually enhance the healing process. Learning to listen to your body is key. Ignoring pain or pushing yourself too hard can delay progress, while gentle care and patience foster true recovery. I find it helpful to set small, achievable goals each day, such as getting out of bed at a set time, eating nourishing food, or simply practicing mindfulness. Celebrating these wins, no matter how small, keeps my morale high. Spiritual support has also been a guiding light in my healing journey. Trusting that healing comes in God's perfect timing, as Psalm 147:3 reminds us, brings peace amid uncertainty. Rather than rushing to feel 'better,' I focus on trusting the process and allowing grace to guide me. Ultimately, healing is about progress, not perfection. It’s about recognizing when to push forward and when to rest, and embracing the journey as a chance for growth and renewed strength.
