Give It To God
When you don't know who you are
give that to God
and let him show you.
In my own experience, grappling with questions of identity and purpose can feel overwhelming, especially during uncertain times. Turning to faith and consciously giving those struggles to God has been a transformative step in finding calm amidst the chaos. When I wasn’t sure who I truly was, I made it a daily practice to pause, pray, and invite God to reveal my authentic self. This process isn’t about having all the answers immediately; it’s about trusting that through surrender, the path will gradually unfold. Many people find that letting go of the need to control or define themselves rigidly opens up space for inner growth. Instead of wrestling with confusion alone, embracing the idea of “giving it to God” provides a spiritual framework to explore identity with patience and compassion. This approach aligns with the belief that each person is uniquely created with purpose and value, even when that purpose is not yet fully clear. Moreover, this surrender can offer relief from the pressure of societal expectations or self-imposed standards. It encourages a mindset of humility and openness. Practically speaking, this can involve journaling prayers, meditating on scripture, or simply speaking honestly with God about your fears and doubts. By letting go and allowing God to lead, many have reported experiencing moments of clarity, renewed hope, and a deeper connection to themselves and their faith. It’s a journey rather than a quick fix, but one that fosters resilience and peace in the face of life’s uncertainties.
