Packing for Passion 2024
At the beginning of January, I went to the Passion Conference 2024 in Atlanta Georgia! This is just a quick video of most of the stuff I packed.

When I was getting ready for Passion Conference 2024 in Atlanta, the biggest question on my mind was, 'What should I bring to a conference?' I've been to a few events before, but this one felt different, and I really wanted to be prepared without overpacking. After making my video on 'What I packed for Passion 2024,' I realized there's so much more to share about making sure you have all your bases covered! Conferences, especially large ones like Passion, involve long days, a lot of walking, and often varying temperatures between venues and outside. So, comfort is absolutely key! Here's a more detailed breakdown of what I found essential and what I'd recommend for anyone heading to a similar conference experience. Clothing & Footwear: This is where I started. Think layers! Atlanta in January can be unpredictable. I packed versatile tops, comfortable jeans, and a few cardigans or light jackets that I could easily add or remove. For shoes, sneakers were my best friend. Trust me, you'll be on your feet a lot, so comfortable walking shoes are non-negotiable. I also threw in a slightly dressier pair of flats for evenings, just in case, but comfort still won out. Don't forget PJs and enough socks and underwear for each day, plus an extra set! Toiletries & Personal Care: Beyond the basics like toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, and conditioner (travel sizes are a lifesaver!), I always recommend bringing a small first-aid kit. Blister patches were a game-changer for all the walking. Hand sanitizer, lip balm, and a small pack of tissues are also super handy. If you have any specific medications, make sure those are easily accessible. I also packed a small, portable hairbrush and some dry shampoo – perfect for freshening up quickly between sessions. Tech & Gadgets: In today's world, our devices are essentials. My phone and charger were obviously top of the list. I also brought a portable power bank, which was invaluable for keeping my phone charged throughout the day, especially when I was taking notes or looking up schedules. If you plan on taking extensive notes, a tablet or a small notebook and pen are great. Headphones are also a must for travel downtime or if you need to focus in a noisy environment. For documenting my trip and making my video, I also made sure my camera gear was ready to go. Essentials & Miscellaneous: Don't forget your ID, credit/debit cards, and any confirmation emails (digital or printed). A reusable water bottle is a must to stay hydrated and save money on bottled water. I also packed a small, foldable tote bag for any handouts or souvenirs. Snacks are another lifesaver – think granola bars, nuts, or fruit snacks to keep your energy up during breaks. Sometimes conference food options are limited, so having your own stash is smart! Tips for Smart Packing: Try to roll your clothes to save space and minimize wrinkles. Make a checklist beforehand (like I wish I'd done more thoroughly for my first conference!) so you don't forget anything crucial. And remember, less is often more. You don't want to be lugging around a huge suitcase if you can avoid it. Focus on multi-purpose items and things you truly can't live without for a few days. Going to a conference is an amazing experience, and being well-packed makes it even better. I hope this expanded list helps you feel confident and prepared for your next big event, whether it's Passion 2024 or any other gathering!
