Midweek health check in

I started cycling this week and omg. My bum hurts 😂 I need to get a softer seat. I'd love to stick with it, not sure if I should do it daily or every other day. Bonus I don't have to stick out the awkwardness of going to the gym. Have you cycled or would you try it ?

I also wanted to give Ka'Chava a try. It's matcha flavored. It's full of vitamins and gluten free, vegan, dairy free, no soy or preservatives. It's a bit gritty so I don't like that so much but the matcha is sweet enough. I don't mix it with water but with almond milk. Tasty green mud 😂

If you're drinking a protein drink, what are you drinking?

... Read moreHey everyone! Following up on my last midweek health check-in, where I shared my new cycling adventure (and the resulting sore bum from that 'ouch?' seat – seriously considering a 'FLY GEL' upgrade!) and my first impressions of Ka'Chava. This journey is all about finding what works best for my body and routine, and I've been experimenting quite a bit, especially with that green 'mud' I mentioned! Many of you might be wondering, 'Can you mix Ka'Chava with coffee?' I’ve definitely explored this! While the matcha flavor of my Ka'Chava is unique, I've found that mixing it directly into hot coffee can sometimes make it a bit clumpy, and the flavors can clash a little. My best tip if you want to try this is to brew your coffee, let it cool slightly, then blend in your Ka'Chava. Alternatively, I’ve had success using a small amount of Ka'Chava powder blended into cold brew or iced coffee. It acts almost like a superfood creamer, adding a nice nutritional kick without too much effort. It's a great way to get those 'powerful superfoods and plant-based proteins' first thing in the morning! Now, for the big question: 'What do you mix Ka'Chava powder with?' Beyond my initial try with almond milk (which is still a favorite!), I've branched out. If you're looking for a simple, low-calorie option, water works, but blending it really helps with the grit. For a creamier texture, oat milk is fantastic, and coconut water can add a refreshing tropical twist, especially with fruit. I've also found that adding Ka'Chava to smoothies is a game-changer. Think bananas, berries, a handful of spinach, or a spoonful of nut butter – these additions not only mask any grittiness but also boost the flavor and nutritional profile. It truly becomes 'THE WHOLE BODY MEAL' when you customize it like this. One thing I learned from looking at the 'Supplement Facts' on the bag is just how comprehensive Ka'Chava is, packed with vitamins and minerals, and true to its 'DIRECTIONS' for being a complete meal. It's awesome that it's vegan, gluten-free, soy-free, dairy-free, and contains no artificial ingredients or preservatives. Knowing it's 'BORN IN THE JUNGLE' gives it a cool, natural vibe too. To get the smoothest consistency, I've found that a good blender is key, or at least a shaker bottle with a whisk ball and shaking vigorously for about 30 seconds. Adding your liquid first, then the powder, also seems to help. My cycling progress is slowly but surely moving along – I even hit 'Dist 4.0' miles on my PRO-FORM bike the other day, and the 'Time 30:21' was a personal best! Balancing this new activity with proper nutrition, like my Ka'Chava experiments, feels like a real step forward in my overall wellness journey. What are your secret mixing hacks for protein powders or Ka'Chava? Share your wisdom – I'm always looking for new ideas to make healthy habits delicious and easy!
