Posting a little old doodle

So many of you have been asking if it's from a game, or what kind of cool effect I used, and the big one – 'real or AI?' It really makes me smile because it means the artwork has caught your eye and sparked your imagination, which is exactly what I hope for with my doodles. First off, to answer the 'what game is this?' question: this sketch isn't from any specific game, but I totally get why you might think that! I draw a lot of inspiration from character design and concept art you see in video games. I absolutely love how game artists manage to convey so much personality and action, even in a single frame. Often, I try to infuse my doodles with that same kind of dynamic energy and stylized flair. Think about the bold lines and expressive shapes you find in indie games or even some classic anime styles – those are definitely influences I’m playing with when I put pen to paper. I find that focusing on strong silhouettes and exaggerated features can really give a drawing that 'game' feel, making characters look ready for adventure! And for those wondering about 'como se llama este efecto' – honestly, it's less about a singular 'effect' and more about a combination of techniques I've picked up over time. I experiment a lot with different ink weights; using thicker lines for outlines and finer ones for internal details can create a really striking contrast that makes the drawing pop. I also pay a lot of attention to how light and shadow play on the forms, even in a simple sketch. Sometimes, adding a bit of cross-hatching or stippling can give a texture that makes the piece feel more finished and intentional, almost like a graphic novel panel. It's all about pushing those basic drawing principles to create something impactful, even if it's just a quick doodle. Then there's the 'real o AI' debate, which has become such a hot topic in the art world lately! I can assure you, every line in this sketch was drawn by my own hand. There’s a distinct joy and personal connection that comes from creating something from scratch, from the initial idea to the final stroke. While AI art is certainly fascinating and has its place, for me, the beauty is in the human touch – the slight imperfections, the unique way I interpret a subject, and the journey of learning and improving with every piece. I think you can often spot human art by its unique character and the visible 'hand' of the artist, something that still feels incredibly special in an increasingly digital world. It’s the passion and practice poured into it that makes it 'real' art. If you're eager to try and create doodles that have a similar impact, my best advice is to observe games and animations you love. Pay attention to how they simplify complex forms, use color (even in black and white sketches, thinking about values is key!), and exaggerate for effect. Don't be afraid to experiment with different tools – a simple ballpoint pen can produce amazing results, or try a brush pen for bolder lines. Most importantly, just have fun with it! Doodling is about freedom and expressing yourself. What kind of art styles do you find most inspiring? I’d love to hear your thoughts!
