... Read moreOkay, let's talk about nail glue, specifically from Askiss! If you're anything like me, you've probably been on the hunt for that perfect press-on nail glue that actually lasts and doesn't damage your natural nails. I've been experimenting with Askiss's Cloud-Feel Glue and their Bio-Tech Glue (which feels a lot like those popular jelly glues) for a while now, and I'm excited to share my experience to help you choose the best one for your next manicure. First up, the Askiss Cloud-Feel Glue. As the name suggests, this one truly feels lighter and more flexible on the nail. I've found it's fantastic for everyday wear or when I want to change my press-ons more frequently. It provides a good, comfortable hold without feeling stiff. If you're someone who experiences a lot of bending or flexing in your daily activities, the Cloud-Feel formula seems to adapt better, reducing the chances of lifting. I usually get about 5-7 days of solid wear with this one, and the removal process is incredibly gentle. It’s perfect if you're a beginner with press-ons or if you prioritize nail health. My nails always feel healthy after using it. Now, for the Askiss Bio-Tech Glue. This is where you go if you need serious staying power! From my experience, this glue offers a much stronger, more robust bond. It reminds me a lot of those high-performance jelly glues that are known for their incredible adhesion. When I need my press-ons to last through a busy week, a special event, or even a short trip, the Bio-Tech Glue is my go-to. I've managed to get 10-14 days of wear with this one, sometimes even longer, without any issues. It sets quickly and creates a very secure seal, preventing water from seeping under the nails. If you're looking for maximum durability and don't mind a slightly firmer feel, this is definitely the winner. So, Cloud-Feel vs. Bio-Tech (or 'Jelly Glue' style) – how do you choose? For everyday wear, easy removal, and nail health priority: Go for Cloud-Feel. It’s flexible and forgiving. For long-lasting wear, maximum hold, and durability: Bio-Tech is your best bet. It's a powerhouse. No matter which Askiss glue you choose, proper application is key! Here are a few tips I've learned: Prep is paramount: Always start with clean, dry nails. Push back your cuticles and gently buff the surface of your natural nails to create a better adhesion surface. Wipe with an alcohol pad to remove any oils. Match the size: Make sure your press-on nails fit perfectly. If they're too small, they won't last; too big, and they'll look unnatural. Apply glue carefully: For Cloud-Feel, a thin, even layer on both your natural nail and the press-on works well. For Bio-Tech, I find a slightly more generous application on the press-on (avoiding flooding the cuticle) gives the best hold. Press firmly: Apply the press-on from the cuticle towards the tip, pressing down firmly for at least 15-20 seconds to ensure a strong bond. Avoid water for the first hour if possible. Removing them safely is just as important. For Cloud-Feel, a warm water soak with a bit of soap usually loosens them up. For the stronger Bio-Tech glue, I recommend soaking in warm, soapy water with a few drops of cuticle oil. Gently pry with a cuticle stick once they feel loose. Never force them off! I genuinely love how Askiss offers these two distinct options, catering to different needs and preferences. They've made my press-on nail game so much easier and more enjoyable. Give them a try and see which one becomes your favorite!
