Apple Arcade is a new gaming subscription service that gives you access to hundreds of games for only $4.99 a month. Now, I was initially hesitant to try it out because who needs another subscription service? Until I saw how many awesome games were available! And some of these are full games you would find on Steam or on the Nintendo Switch store, but you can play them for free on Arcade! They are even offering a free trial for one month right now, so let’s check it out~
🌸 Japanese Rural Life 🌸
This is the game that sold me on getting the Arcade trial, that’s how badly i wanted to play this game. It’s got a similar aesthetic to Stardew Valley, but it takes place in the Japanese countryside and you get to restore the old town to it’s former glory and learn all about traditional Japanese culture in the process. It’s SO fun! (More details in a later post~!)
🌸 Hello Kitty Island Adventure 🌸
If Animal Crossing was a Sanrio game, this would be it! I can’t get over the cute island vibes and the ability to befriend all of my favorite characters. This game is a must! And only available on Arcade.
🌸 Farmside 🌸
Ever since the early days of browser gaming, I’ve had a guilty pleasure weak spot for simple little farm games like this one. This is a relaxing, chill Farmville-esque game that is nice and cute and gives plenty of harvesting and upgrading dopamine.
🌸 Cooking Mama Cousine 🌸
I love Cooking Mama games! You complete fun little minigames to cook and choose from different ingredients to discover new recipes. You can even unlock new patterns and colors to customize Mama and the kitchen~
🌸 Outlanders 🌸
If you love city builder games, you will love this cozy, warm and adorable town sim. Meet your villagers needs by building new structures, assigning them jobs and follow them around to see what they’re doing to slack off. It’s fun and cute and super cozy!
🌸 Alba 🌸
This is a super feel good little adventure/exploration game where you play as a little girl who just wants to save the island and all of the beautiful wildlife. The art is gorgeous and it is just really wholesome~
🌸 Stardew Valley 🌸
I’ll always point out ways you can play Stardew Valley for free (or practically free!) This is everyone’s favorite farm sim for good reason.
🌸 Wylde Flowers 🌸
This is another beloved cozy game that adds a little magic and witches to the usual mix! It’s really fun and you can play it on Arcade now!
🌸 Cozy Grove 🌸
This is a super cute, hand drawn 2D game that is similar to Animal Crossing, but with a heavy emphasis on collecting and helping your ghost animal friends. I often play this on the Switch, but I’m super excited to see it’s available here as well!
With all of these amazing games available and more, I definitely think Arcade is worth it, especially if you have an iPad or iPhone and don’t want to splurge on a Switch or a Steamdeck. You still get access to all these cozy games and you even get them for a month free!
