PSA: NO ONE CAN READ YOUR MIND SO SAY THE THING ANYWAY
I have a hard time with my thought and how I relay it to people
I try my very best not to offend anyone and I get emotionally overwhelmed and start dissociating the instant someone is angry with me
I just freeze
And then I start crying
It’s not easy to deal with this because I’d like to have rigid conversations and robust communication
Can’t do that if I’m mute during arguments.
My partner said something tho that changed the game for me
“it can be hard to get your feelings out but if you got it out and about it can waltz away much easier”
I grew up as a black sheep
Not really being able to formulate my own feelings and emotions because someone else was always more important.
I never felt seen enough and now that I am
I feel like I shouldn’t be
But I can show up and be myself even if it means that I show up to the argument slightly masked
Because when I’m left alone I freeze up
When I say romanticize arguments
I mean romanticize saying everything and not being afraid of what someone else will say back
It’s been extremely hard for me to do so
And I beat myself up about it everyday😭
