Spring Garden Reset Series 🌿 Day 5

Day 5 of resetting my spring garden 🌱

It’s not the glamorous part of gardening… just clearing, raking, and moving dirt. But every little bit brings the vision closer.

Slow progress is still progress.

Thanks for watching and following along 🤎

See you for Day 6.

Saving these clips so I can see the progress later.

... Read moreResetting a garden in spring is often a mix of physical work and mental patience. On Day 5, focusing on clearing debris and raking might feel less exciting than planting seeds or seeing blooms, but it’s a vital foundation for healthy growth. I’ve found that taking my time with each task—whether it’s loosening compact soil or removing old leaves—helps set the stage for better plant health later on. One trick I learned is to use the cleared organic matter to create a compost pile nearby, which eventually provides rich nutrients back to the garden. Even though at first, it might just look like dirt and mess, this phase is about preparing the soil to absorb water and nutrients effectively. Also, I take a moment each day to envision the garden’s future, which keeps me motivated through repetitive tasks. Another tip is to document progress through photos or clips, like I’ve been doing, which makes the slow steps more tangible and rewarding. This visual reminder is helpful on days when progress seems invisible. Whether you’re gardening for food or beauty, remember that every rake and shovel counts toward your end goal. I’m excited to see how these efforts will pay off in the weeks ahead as new life begins to sprout.
