So I finally got my copies of my books
So I finally got my copies of my books (Amazon takes forever for author copies). BUT I noticed some errors that I missed in the digital version🙄...got everything fixed & hopefully updated versions will be live in a few days. I'm still learning y'all!!😝🫠

The journey of bringing a book to life, especially a coloring book, is truly a labor of love! When I finally got my author copies of 'Cozy Fall Cuties,' Vol. 1 and Vol. 2, in my hands, it was such a surreal moment. Seeing 'Adorable Animals in Autumn' come to life in print felt incredible. But then, as I flipped through, my heart did a little oopsie! I noticed a few small errors that, no matter how many times I proofread digitally, just seemed to pop out on the physical page. It's funny how a fresh pair of eyes, or even just a different format, can reveal things you completely missed. For anyone thinking about self-publishing, let me tell you, it's a huge learning curve, but so rewarding! My biggest takeaway from this experience? Always, always get physical proofs. Digital mock-ups are great, but there's nothing like holding your actual book to catch those tiny misalignments or color variations. I quickly got back to work, making those corrections. It involved tweaking some design elements and re-uploading the files. Amazon takes a bit for author copies, but they're usually pretty quick with updates to live versions. It really made me think about the whole creation process. From sketching those 'Bold & Easy' animal designs, trying to capture that perfect autumnal vibe, to formatting everything just right for print – every step has its own challenges. For 'Cozy Fall Cuties,' my goal was to create something truly relaxing and enjoyable for all skill levels. I wanted those sweet, adorable animals to bring a smile to everyone's face as they colored them in with fall colors. The inspiration came from my own love for crisp autumn days, pumpkin spice, and snuggling up with a good activity. I pictured people relaxing with these books, maybe with a warm drink, enjoying a moment of calm. What I’ve learned is that perfection isn't the goal, especially when you're just starting out. It's about progress and learning from every step. Connecting with the amazing #coloringcommunity has also been a huge source of support and inspiration. Seeing others share their work and tips makes the whole journey feel less daunting. And honestly, it makes those little 'oopsies' feel like badges of honor, showing how far you've come. Speaking of cozy fall vibes, I even snagged some super cute card stock and a fall sign from Dollar Tree to get my workspace into the autumnal spirit while I waited for the corrected copies. Little touches like that really help keep the creative juices flowing and remind me why I started this journey in the first place. It’s all about creating those tranquil moments, whether it's through coloring or just enjoying the season.
