If you’re considering getting into some form of content creation & you’ve landed on YouTube; I’m just here to share some tips that will hopefully help you remember, you don’t have to start expensive or large!
I would GREATLY consider going to your closest few second hand stores for your start up: you do NOT have to break your bank or put yourself in debt to start! Stores like: ( local & online )
• GameXchange
• Tj Maxx
• Poshmark
• Amazon
• Marketplace
• Wholesale Product/Pallets (I always find mine in TX)
• Asking friends/family to see if anyone has something you’d need, free or cheap lying around already!
• PlugTech (app)
• Goodwill / equiv.
✨ I grabbed the camera I’m currently using from a couple a few towns over for $50!
✨ iPhone was $250 on Amazon (128gb)
*granted this is my personal use phone rn but I plan to buy a newer version on Amazon or Plugtech with a better camera!
✨ Phone Tripod was on sale at DG (I have a ring light with screw on for the camera and clip for my phone) - that was around $50!
✨ Mic for phone + fuzzy tip w clip mic -$30 from gamexchange!
✨ PC not featured was from Gamexchange as well! $80 for a Ryzen5 and it hasn’t done me bad yet!
I see cameras with tripods included & even lights sometimes on Amazon and Poshmark for under $150 OFTEN!
My point is, start local, start small, start WITHIN YOUR MEANS! ❤️
Find what content fits best and don’t be afraid to mix it up when you start getting more confident in front of the camera or just mic! 🎙️ I plan on only doing neck to waist if I want to show off games but plan on voice only gameplay 🙈
