I used to just tuck them away, but not anymore! Inspired by the simple elegance of using ribbons for existing candle holder pillars, I've been on a mission to find even more creative ways to give these lovely scraps a new life, especially for my Christuas Decor Idea. Beyond just dressing up candle holders or adding a pop to a DIY wreath, leftover ribbons are a goldmine for holiday decorating. One of my favorite, super easy ideas is to use them for gift wrapping embellishments. Forget pricey bows! I love making these cute BOWS by simply tying a few different lengths together, or even creating unique gift tags by attaching a small piece of ribbon to a plain tag. It adds such a personal and luxurious touch that store-bought items just can't replicate. Another fantastic way to utilize those shorter pieces is to turn them into charming DIY ornaments. You can tie small loops of ribbon onto a string to create a mini garland for your tree, or even wrap them around a foam ball (or even a crumpled paper ball!) to create a textured, colorful ornament. It’s a fun project, especially if you have an array of colors and textures from old spools. Think about how those small ribbon ACCESSORY pieces can become focal points on your tree! For those longer, thinner scraps, I've started making festive garlands or banners. Simply tie various ribbons onto a longer piece of twine or string, alternating colors and patterns. Hang this across a mantel, a doorway, or even along a staircase railing for an instant festive uplift. It’s practically no effort required and makes a huge impact. Don't forget your table settings! Small lengths of ribbon can be tied around napkins to create elegant napkin rings. Or, wrap a few around simple glass jars or vases to instantly transform them into festive centerpieces. Imagine a plain glass vase wrapped in a velvet red or shimmering gold ribbon – pure holiday magic! This really makes YOUR EXISTING CANDLE HOLDER PILLARS feel like part of a larger, cohesive theme. Even for kids' crafts, leftover ribbon is fantastic. They can glue them onto cards, create collages, or practice simple weaving. It's a wonderful way to foster creativity and reduce waste during the busy holiday season. So next time you have some LEFTOVER RIBBON, don't throw it away! With a little imagination, you can turn those scraps into beautiful, personalized holiday cheer all around your home. Let me know what creative things you come up with!
