1/2 cup (115g) unsalted butter, melted and cooled

1/2 cup (100g) light brown sugar

1/3 cup (67g) granulated sugar

1 large egg, room temperature

1 tbsp vanilla extract

1 1/4 cups (185g) all-purpose flour, spooned and leveled

1/2 tsp baking soda

Pinch of flaky sea salt

1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

For Garnish:

Flaky sea salt

Instructions:

1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. Whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.

3. In a separate bowl, combine melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Whisk (1-2 min) until smooth.

4. Crack in egg and add vanilla extract. Mix until combined.

5. Fold dry ingredients into wet batter until just combined.

6. Stir in chocolate chips.

7. Scoop 9 cookies onto parchment paper, leaving space (max 4 cookies per 15x10 baking tray).

8. Bake 12 minutes or until golden and crispy at edges, gooey at center.

9. Sprinkle with flaky sea salt.

10. Cool completely before serving.
