in depth review: gourmia air fryer 🍳

the day i bought this air fryer, my world totally changed! there are just some foods that when you microwave it, it just gets soggy and doesn’t do the food justice. but an air fryer really helps to make your food to be both warm & crispy 👏🏼

i have loved this air fryer so much and it has been working great for the last 5 years i’ve owned it! i love making wings in it, warming up a slice of leftover pizza, or heating up some bagel bites in it! 😌🩷

✅ pros

- cheaper than other air fryers and it also goes on sale often at costco ($40)

- holds a lot of food!

- evenly cooks food everytime

- VERY quick!!

- i love that it has multiple settings!

❌ cons

- it can be a little hard to clean sometimes (but it is dishwasher safe)

- doesn’t keep things warm for longer than 1 hour, so if you need that, you would have to reset it after each hour

- no dividers other than the shelf (but you can purchase some on amazon)

... Read moreOkay, so I've been getting a lot of questions about how I actually use my Gourmia air fryer and whether it's really worth it beyond just a basic review. Let me tell you, it's not just a gadget; it's practically a third hand in my kitchen! I've owned mine for five years now, and it's still going strong, proving that Gourmia really does make reliable appliances. One of the things I love about this model is its intuitive digital control panel with touchscreen controls. It’s super easy to navigate! You'll see various icons for different preset settings like air fry, bake, roast, and dehydrate. For instance, if I'm making frozen fries (a common question!), I often use the dedicated 'fries preset icon' if there is one on your model, or I'll manually set it to 400F for about 15-20 minutes, shaking halfway. The temperature range of 170-400F and timer from 1 minute to 1 hour give you full control. While it doesn't always have a dedicated 'preheat' button, I usually just let it run for 3-5 minutes at the desired temperature before adding food. This rapid heating technology ensures your food starts cooking at the right temperature for that perfect even crispiness. Speaking of cooking, the Gourmia air fryer excels at fast cooking with healthier results using less oil. I’ve found it perfect for so many things. Beyond wings and pizza, I regularly make roasted vegetables (broccoli, Brussels sprouts), crispy chicken tenders, and even reheat leftovers that would get sad in a microwave. The crisper tray is fantastic for ensuring air circulates all around the food, and if you need to cook different items or a larger batch, you can get a separate cooking shelf to create two layers – a game-changer! Now, about cleaning – yes, it can be a little tricky sometimes, as I mentioned in my initial review. But here's my trick: always clean it right after it cools down! The basket and the crisper tray are both dishwasher safe, which is a huge plus. For stubborn bits, a quick soak with warm soapy water usually does the trick. I avoid abrasive sponges to keep the non-stick coating intact. So, to answer the big question, "Is Gourmia a good brand for air fryer?" From my personal experience, absolutely! Especially considering the price point (I got mine for $40 at Costco!), the durability, and the consistent performance, it’s an excellent choice. It's truly transformed how I cook and reheat food, making healthier, crispier meals a regular part of my routine without much fuss. If you’re on the fence, I hope these extra details help you decide!
