wait.. dishwasher cleans what?! 🫧
okay so we all know that a dishwasher cleans dishes, but did you know you can clean other items in there too? 🫧
sure, there might be other quicker ways to clean some of these items, but the dishwasher can be great and effective at also sanitizing these! 🧼🫧
and of course, i recommend to wash other items separately from any dishes you eat/cook from! do not mix them 😅
🫧 TURNTABLE
i have ALWAYS had washed this, and for some reason never thought to put it in the dishwasher! total game changer, and my microwave can look cleaner all the time now
🧽 SCRUB BRUSHES
every time i use one of these types of brushes, i never know the best way to truly clean and sanitize them! but now, i can just pop them in the dishwasher and ensure they’re not getting yucky or building up bacteria
🐈⬛ BRUSH
i’m constantly brushing my long haired cats hair, so washing the brushes is important, especially after they get a bath, so i love being able to have a clean brush for that! 😊

Many people think of dishwashers solely as appliances for washing plates, cups, and utensils. However, expanding your dishwasher's use to other household items can save time and enhance cleanliness. For instance, cleaning your microwave turntable in the dishwasher is a game-changer. It removes tough stains and grime effortlessly, keeping your microwave looking pristine. Scrub brushes, often used for dishes or cleaning surfaces, can harbor bacteria if not sanitized properly. Running them through a dishwasher cycle not only cleans but also sanitizes them, reducing the risk of bacterial buildup. This is particularly useful for brushes with hard-to-reach bristles. Pet grooming brushes are another surprising candidate for dishwasher cleaning. Especially for owners of long-haired cats or dogs, having a clean brush after a bath helps prevent redistributing oils and dirt back into your pet's fur. Make sure to place these brushes securely to avoid damage. When using your dishwasher for diverse items, always remember to wash them separately from your dishes to prevent contamination. Opt for lower heat settings if recommended for delicate items, and avoid washing non-dishwasher-safe materials like wood or certain plastics. By incorporating these tips, your dishwasher becomes a versatile tool not only for kitchenware but also for sanitizing everyday household essentials, making your cleaning routine more efficient and hygienic.
